Happy Belated Birthday Ryan! I actually celebrated my 22nd Birthday yesterday and it felt good finally making that transition from 21 to 22. This weekend I plan to put my best foot forward and shake a tailfeather -- before heading to Florida for two weeks. Is there anything to get into in Orlando?
hey everyone i havent been here in ages....it looks as if things are kinda slow around here. hope all is well with everyone--im fine i actually start temping again tomorrow..its a telemarketing job (blah!) the pay is $16/hr that's not bad it could be better but who cares? its money right? the hours are part time (10-4pm) monday through friday....so why am i not jazzed about this? i havent been working for close to 2 months..struggling in this city. things are coming to an end for me--i have some interviews coming up (a BIG one for two projects at Hunter College--this is the job i TRULY want too)--my living situation isnt truly settled yet..its getting there. but i just dont understand why im so not feeling things at the moment..i know ill be fine but i just...i just dont know really. good thing: my parents are coming to see me next week for a few days..even better--i celebrated my 27th birthday last Friday...in the midst of the drama ive been having i nearly forgot that it was bornday last friday...i definitely plan to do it up when ifinally get situated with a better job and an apartment of my own....i also learned that i dont have many friends. while ive been going through it, MOST folk i know got really negative about what i wasgoing through here and went OUT of their way to let me know. it hurt intensely it still does....life is hard this CITY is hard but people survive it. what ive come to realize is that advice is a lovely thing, but it really comes down to what I WANT and NEED FOR ME....i learned that i havent always taken stock of what i need in life....*sigh* it will work out it usually does. i just wish i didnt hvae to go through what i did in order to find this out.
