Thursday, August 8 Donald, I'll bite. Those questions are truly worth exploring, if only for myself.
How many great loves do you think one person gets in a life time? Why would there be a set number? I think it is a matter of being in the same place at the right time, going in the same direction. If I make it a good love (assuming it is reciprocated) then it will be.
But, at the most, 4. Any more than that, and you're just wasteful. *laugh*
When people find or look for love, do you think they should be concerned with uniting with their intellectual and economic equals (or superiors)? I guess that depends on priorities and preferences. I don't know about "superiors" but I would like to find someone who is going where I'm going, mentally, spiritually, and, I guess, financially.
How do you define love? I always thought of love as something that you can more easily define the absence of. Particularly love in the romantic sense. Its like a selfless selfishness. An undying desire to remain connected with someone. Illogical. Unparalleled. Maybe I need to be in love (or rather to love someone) to do this question justice. Maybe I'm a wee bit jaded/unconcerned at the moment.
And based on your definition of love what do you see as the difference between loving someone and being in love? Being in love can be fleeting. It is more of a sensation, a symptom of something less flashy and extravagant that exists. They are not one in the same and often they don't even coincide. I have more thoughts but I can't put them together off the top of my head. *still thinking*
Obviously, my thoughts about this subject are garbled and still being formed. But that's what life is for... Peace and Love Brothas posted by Shayne F @ 3:08 AM [ e : w ]
