Love Blessing
Love shows up in many different ways, but it is always evidenced by an action .. . a gesture. It is at the forefront of my mind at this time of year to continue to extend these gestures and to know when one is being extended to me. I implore all of my brothers to make yourself know what a gesture of love is . This forum is one. Trying to keep us connected. We all are truly valuable. Take care my brothers. I extend my love. Peace.

Blogger.com was giving me some real problems this morning, but we survived. Plus, I started actually making this thing look like something. I hope y'all like it.

Google.com acquired Deja.com's USENET archive this year. I used to have a lot to say on soc.motss; some things are even embarrassing!

HI everyone..i just registered. this sounds like a really great idea and Im definitely down with posting. let's see: im finally starting to get "free"--in the process of slowly cutting out negativity in my life. Im looking forward to moving to NYC and beginning the next phase of my life. Im so looking forward to acting classes and all of that goodness...and just LIVING again--i havent really done that since college. granted life has been rough (father is diagnosed with Hepatits C), but im dealing with those rough patches and moving on.

Hey guys, here are a few pointers:

  • Basic HTML is allowed, including links and images. So make yourself as expressive as you wanna be ...

  • Blogging is easy. It's even easier with BlogThis! - just drag that link that you just read to your browser's toolbar. Then, you can click on it anytime you want to make a new entry to the blog (an added perk - it adds a link to the page you're currently browsing) - you never have to go to blogger.com ever again (unless you want to edit your entries)! Let me not say that too loud, though ...

  • I'm going to put some muscle behind the design later. I just wanted to get it up and working for y'all as soon as possible.

  • Promote this blog to Black gay men that you know who don't live in the U.S.
I think this is going to be a VERY cute experience! I look forward to the connection ...

BLACK GAY DAY
This past Sunday was one of the best days I've had in a long time. I went to work (at my holiday, weekend, retail job) as usual. A friend (OT) who was visiting from New York was in town. (We'd tried to get together the night before to share a meal and conversation, but things went awry and we missed each other.) I arrived at work just a few minutes late (Shit, I was tired, and I stopped at one of my favorite eateries for a scrumptious breakfast.). When I arrived, my manager told me that two gentleman had stopped by to see me. "Me?" I asked surprised and a little alarmed. I never receive visitors at work, I thought, and became appropriately suspicious...

Donald, you're a funny man; just the same, i am more than happy to be among the 'originals' in what could be massive in time;
A new theory i am writing..."the theory of notoriety, which asserts that 'base' human nature or consciousness is primarily dependent on being known or validated or acknowledged, or 'factualized' by whatever means is available be that a mirror or another humans reaction close or distant."
Hopefully, i will be able to expond on this theory in time, especially as it pertains to defining 'diaspora' within a queer or gay context and again especially with regards to black men or persons of color.

Welcome to ourblog, a collaboration between Black gay men around the world, across the Diaspora. We are here to share experiences, thoughts and opinions in an effort to get to know each other better. There is no theme or goal other than that. There is also no particular format - make journal entries, share poetry, quotes, provide links to interesting things, etc. Short entries are best, so please make an effort to be succinct. Just be yourself and share your world ...
